 The charity fund "PROtegni Raka" of ProCredit Bank (Bulgaria) AD was established with the main goal to help sick children from poor families or such children without a family. Each employee may participate in that fund with personal funds, with very little monthly amounts. Clients and partners of the bank may also take part in that initiative. Everyone who wants can join in the charity fund PROtegni Raka through regular voluntary monthly donations or through one-time voluntary contributions.
We should not forget that in beautiful but still poor country, unfortunately, there are a lot of people who do not have access to health care.
Who does the fund help?  The funds collected through the Charity Fund may be and are only used for financial support of the treatment of sick children at the age of up to 18, coming from families in the lowest income bracket or orphans, which includes payment of medical services, medicines, and/or operations. The money is granted directly for the payment of the service, the medicines, or the treatment. In all the cases the payment is made directly to the performer of the service, of the operation or to the supplier of the medicines.
Who can join in the initiative?
Except for the employees of ProCredit Bank, those who can join in the charitable initiative are clients and partners of the bank. Everyone who wants can join in the charity fund "PROtegni Raka" through one-time voluntary contributions or regular voluntary monthly donations.
What is the structure of "PROtegni Raka"? All branches of ProCredit Bank take part in the Fund. For the purpose of its better functioning at local level the branches are divided into a total number of 7 regions. The Fund has its Management Board, which consists of 29 members. It includes three representatives from each region and eight administrative members who are in charge of the coordination, reporting, etc.
How are decisions taken at "PROtegni Raka"? The taking of decisions for financing is structured at three levels:
 REGIONAL level – with unanimity;
SUPRA-REGIONAL level – with not less than 50% + 1 vote;
GENERAL level – with not less than 75% of the members of the MB.
