Ralica Gaidarova is 3 years old from Belashtitsa, Plovdiv region. She has a hard health problem from the birth- she suffers from Child cerebral Paralysis. The procedures in rehabilitation, massage and medications help to improve her condition. Her mother turned to us for help a part of the treatment- kinesitherapy for supporting the motor activity and muscle tonus.
Bozhidar Bogutev is 7 years old and suffers from Child Cerebral Paralysis. His motor functions are weak- all four limbs are affected. He needs a wheelchair, for which his mother cannot pay the entire sum. The state has granted 486 leva, and “Protegni raka” ensured the remaining 282 leva.
Sandrina Dimitrovais 6 years old from Sofia. Seven months after she was born she still could not sit. Her parents notice that she hasn’t support in both her legs. The diagnosis, Child Cerebral Paralysis, is given when she is one year and four months. Since then the child has visited annually the hospital “St. Sofia” for procedures, but only by clinical path. She moves with help from others, tries to speak, and is exceptionally sociable and cheerful. The fund financed with the sum of 1000 leva the rehabilitation of Sandrina.
Hristian Todorov is four years old. During the suckling period he has been falling behind with his psychomotor development and as a consequence of that he has the diagnosis Child Cerebral Paralysis. The recommendations of the doctors are for permanent rehabilitation- the more it is influenced at this age the better. After a period of such intensive rehabilitation helped by the fund Hristian has started walking.
Alexander is 4 years and 7 months old. When he is just 9-10 months old he is given the diagnosis Child Cerebral Paralysis- spastic quadriparesis, and as a consequence- epilepsy with heavy convulsive spasms. The child needs a wheelchair so it can be moved easier. The fund helped for the buying of one.
Nine year old Naylyan Tahirova suffers from atrophy of the visual nerve. After from Bulgarian clinics declare that the disease is cureless in 2007 the child starts visiting a clinic in Kaluga, Russia, where stimulations of the eye nerve and laser therapy are being done. Before them Naylyan hadn’t been able to distinguish letters and read without a magnifying glass and further increase of the print. Now she reads bigger letters without a problem and is excellent student- she successively passed second grade. “Protegni raka” finaced for a second time part of Naylyan’s treatment in Kaluga.
Nikol Ivanova is 7 years old from Kyustendil. She suffers from Child Cerebral Paralysis. The insidious disease, related to a number of complications, causes many damages to her fragile organism. As far as her family is concerned, their last hope is in stem cells transplantation. In February, 2008, in the University hospital “St. Ivan Rilski” the first surgery is done successfully. The fund helped partially for the second transplantation in the end of 2008.
Hristian Ivanov is 6 years old. Four months after his birth a vaccine with a passed term of suitability is put as a result of which the first damages from Child Cerebral Paralysis are noticed. At the moment the psychical condition of the child is good. The procedures, made during 2007, have had a superb influence on the motor damages- the child walks without help from others, but still does not speak. The doctors are optimistic about the improvement of Hristian’s condition, and the recommendations are for procedures with logopedist and psychologist. The more it is influenced on this age the bigger the possibility for improvement is. “Protegni raka” granted 1000 leva for rehabilitations of Hristian.
Peter Dimitrovis three years old. He was born with a diagnosis Hydrocephalia and Spina Bifida- open cyst of the spine as a result of which he is motionless. Also an anomaly of the urinary bladder is settled, because of which the child is with a catheter. For the improvement of his condition Petar needs rehabilitation therapies, 1000 leva for which was paid by “PROtegni raka”.
Maria Georgieva is 6 years old from Kardzhali. Right after she was born she was given the diagnosis Spastic Cerebral Paralysis. The parents apply for “Protegni raka” for the payment of procedures for treatment, which is not due to the Health Department. This is how the opportunity for the prescribed for the child’s treatment procedures to be done completely without misses. “Protegni raka” helps with procedures for individual Montessori therapy, specialized individual Kinesitherapy, passive individual Kinesitherapy and barochamber. The parents wouldn’t miss even the smallest chance for Maria’s maximum society integration.
Pavel Stanevis almost 4 years old. On the 1st of June a surgery in the Orthopedics in Gorna Banya is forthcoming, where an apparatus for lengthening one of his legs will be put. Seven months after his birth it was noticed that the boy is fallen behind in his neuron-psychic development, a diagnosis is given- Child Cerebral Paralysis. Pavel has a Microcephalia. The sum of 1500 leva which was granted by “Protegni raka” are needed for a surgery which will lighten his condition and for rehabilitation which will take place in “Momin prohod”, Bankya.
Ivailo and Stanislav Kostovi are twins almost a year old and they suffer from Retinopathy with a loss of the eyesight respectively 100% for Ivaylo and 80% for Stanislav. After consultations it is recommended that the children should be operated. The first surgeries in the clinic in Kaluga, Russia, are planed to be done after June, 2008, and will cost 5000 Euros each, and the second ones will be 6 months after that and will be done in accordance to what will be the result from the first.
Monika Daradanova is 4 years old. Right after she was born Monika developed a Meningoencephalitis. As a result of that an evidence for a Hydrocephalia is settled. At the moment the diagnosis is right-sided Hemiparesis and Child Cerebral Paralysis. She needs permanent rehabilitations. “Protegni raka” helped for realizing this rehabilitation, which, according to the parents, has a good impact on their daughter.
Militsa Yordanova is 7 years old from Tran. She enters the “St. Sofia” clinic for the first time with anamnestic data for her condition after Meningoencephalitis on the 14th day after her birth. At the moment the pursuing diseases are Epilepsia, Gastritis and Child Cerebral Paralysis. The child has a hard psychomotor development, 100% disability. The main treatment for Militsa is transplantation of stem cells as 7 surgeries are predicted. Three of them have been done and the fourth is about to be done which will cost 3900 leva. "PROtegni raka" granted 2500 leva to help for the paying for the surgery.
Todor Naidenov is two and a half years old. He suffers from Thalassemia major. Because of his disease a monthly blood transfusion is needed. Along with that, in order to be improved his health condition, there must be periodical extracting of the piled iron in the organism. For that “PROtegni raka” granted 1300 leva.
Viktor Dodov is almost 12 years old from Zlatitsa. He suffers from progressive muscle dystrophy- form of Dushen. It is expressed in destruction of the muscle cells which leads to destruction of the muscles and weakening of their function. Viktor’s step is changing, he easily gets tired and he is in a wheelchair since he is 8. “Protegni raka” grants a sum for rehabilitation specialized hospital for rehabilitation Tuzlata.
Nikola Merdzhev is a six years-old boy. Six months after he was born he got the diagnosis Child Cerebral Paralysis, spastic Hemiparesis and symptomatic Epilepsy. The boy’s condition at the moment is pursued by falling behind with his psychomotor development, his expressive speech and a mild case of brain backwardness. He needs resources for procedures and meetings with a logopedist. “Protegni raka” granted 1000 leva for that.
